  • We at Trees Atlanta love it when communities take pride in their trees. Take for example, Virginia-Highland.  This is a neighborhood that not only loves its old trees but has planted more than 350 new trees in the past several years.  Read about their March 13 fruit tree sale on Tree Speech.
  • Many of Atlanta's trees are historic or lend character to historic sites.  Join Trees Atlanta for two tree walks on March 19 and 20 as part of The Phoenix Flies, a Citywide Celebration of Living Landmarks. 
  • Thanks to everyone who supported Trees Atlanta's 2010 Georgia Arbor Day events and volunteer projects.  We planted trees and installed educational granite markers in all 7 of Trees Atlanta's Neighborhood Arboreta and enjoyed working with local partners Pabst Blue Ribbon (in celebration of "PBRborday"), dave fm, American Apparel and others.  Great job everyone!

  • Calling all teachers who educate in schools along the Atlanta BeltLine (and beyond)!  Trees Atlanta and its Environmental Education partners are offering the first BeltLine Schools Teacher Workshop on Friday, May 7 (4:00 - 8:30 p.m.) and Saturday, May 8 (9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) at the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center. For just $30, teachers will be treated to top-quality planning tools, have the opportunity to receive PLU's, and more. View the agenda and register.
